"Therapist (Instrumental)" is my tribute to the healing power of music.
Without the lyrics, the instruments become the counselors, the groove becomes the conversation, and every note becomes part of the healing process. This arrangement is built on the belief that music has the remarkable ability to comfort us, inspire us, restore us, and carry us through life's most challenging moments.
As a drummer, producer, and songwriter, I wanted this instrumental to showcase the emotional conversation taking place between the musicians. Every bass line, keyboard texture, guitar phrase, drum groove, and melodic passage contributes to a performance that feels both uplifting and deeply personal. Together, they create a soundtrack that speaks directly to the heart without saying a single word.
Rooted in soul, funk, R&B, and contemporary groove, this version shines a spotlight on the chemistry of D'MAR & The Nu Funk Society. The music breathes, evolves, and invites the listener to experience the same sense of release and renewal that inspired the original song.
